Welcome to CryptoWidget.io. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CryptoWidget.io website, donation widget, dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by CryptoWidget.io, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization ("CryptoWidget," "we," "us," or "our").
Please read these Terms carefully before using our Services. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or make donations through our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Nonprofit organizations wishing to use the CryptoWidget donation widget must:
We reserve the right to reject any organization application at our discretion, including organizations whose activities conflict with our mission or applicable law.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@cryptowidget.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to embed the CryptoWidget donation widget on your organization's website solely for the purpose of accepting charitable donations.
The widget may only be used to collect bona fide charitable donations for your verified nonprofit organization. You may not use the widget to collect payments for goods, services, personal benefit, or any non-charitable purpose.
You may customize the widget's appearance using supported configuration parameters. You may not modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the widget code.
Our WordPress plugin is distributed under its own license terms available in the plugin repository. Use of the plugin is also subject to these Terms.
CryptoWidget charges a transaction fee on each donation processed through our platform. Current fee rates are published on our Pricing page and incorporated herein by reference. Fees are deducted from each donation before the net proceeds are credited to your organization's account.
If you elect to hold cryptocurrency donations rather than immediately converting them to USD, and the value of those holdings increases, we will charge a fee on the realized gain at the time of conversion or withdrawal. This fee applies only to the appreciation above the original donation fair-market value. No gain fee is charged if the holding value decreases.
Cryptocurrency donations are generally irreversible once confirmed on the blockchain. We do not offer refunds to donors except in cases of demonstrable technical error resulting in duplicate transactions, at our sole discretion and subject to the organization's agreement.
We will transfer net proceeds to your linked bank account upon your request or on your selected auto-transfer schedule. Standard ACH transfer times apply (typically 1–3 business days). We reserve the right to hold funds pending identity verification or in cases of suspected fraud.
We may change our fee structure with 30 days' notice by email and posting on our website. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new fees.
We will automatically generate and deliver an electronic tax receipt to each donor upon transaction confirmation. Receipts state the fair-market value of the donated cryptocurrency at the date and time of the transaction, per IRS guidance on noncash charitable contributions.
Organizations are responsible for the accuracy of their name, EIN, and 501(c)(3) status as reflected in the receipts. You must notify us promptly if your tax-exempt status changes or is revoked.
CryptoWidget does not provide tax advice. The receipts we generate are for informational purposes. Donors and organizations should consult qualified tax professionals regarding their specific tax situations.
Participation in the public organization directory is entirely optional. By enabling directory listing, you grant CryptoWidget a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your organization's name, logo, description, location, cause category, and aggregated fundraising statistics on our website.
You are responsible for ensuring that your directory listing information is accurate and not misleading. We reserve the right to remove or modify listings that we determine to be inaccurate, deceptive, or in violation of these Terms.
You may request removal from the directory at any time through your dashboard settings.

All content, software, trademarks, and intellectual property on the CryptoWidget platform are owned by CryptoWidget or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any CryptoWidget intellectual property.
By submitting content to our platform (such as organization descriptions or logos), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce that content in connection with our Services.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CRYPTOWIDGET SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR CRYPTOCURRENCY LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL TRANSACTION FEES PAID BY YOU TO CRYPTOWIDGET IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CryptoWidget and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to our platform.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, any undisbursed funds will be transferred to your linked bank account within 30 business days, subject to any legal holds.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association Commercial Rules, conducted in English in Wilmington, Delaware.
You waive any right to participate in class-action lawsuits against CryptoWidget.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email and a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
